I conducted a formal and informal survey to understand the perspective and preference of my audience towards music videos. 

Formal survey:

I made my survey on google forms and sent it to my fellow classmates where i asked several questions related to my music video. 

Informal survey:

I also conducted a informal survey on my Instagram account by going on Instagram story and creating a poll.

The survey provided valuable insights into my audience, revealing key preferences and demographics that will guide the creation of my music video. From the survey results, I concluded that my entire audience is female, with the majority being over 18 years old. This shows that the target group is predominantly adult women, which will influence the tone and themes of my video. Additionally, nearly all respondents indicated that they watch music videos, with a strong preference for the pop genre.One interesting finding was that my audience is open to music videos that explore themes of mental stress and those that bridge the connection between childhood and adulthood a theme central to my video. Lastly, the survey revealed that my audience prefers watching performances over other aspects of a music video, which suggests that incorporating strong visual performances will be crucial for resonating with viewers. Overall, the survey helped me understand my audience better than I had anticipated, offering me crucial information to fine-tune the creative direction of my music video. I will keep these findings in mind throughout the production process to ensure that the video appeals to the target audience’s preferences and emotional connection.
